Background and TrainingDr. Temboni was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay where her first spoken language was Spanish. She moved to Arizona later in her childhood, and eventually attended the University of Arizona earning her B.S. in Psychology. After working as a behavioral health case manager for two years, she went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.
Dr. Temboni completed externships in several different modes of practice in both Los Angeles and Orange County. She studied at two different private practices located in Fullerton and Boyle Heights, and also rotated through Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where she was trained in specialty contact lens fittings. Dr. Temboni also received ocular disease training with the surgeons of Orange County Retina, who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the retina. Lastly, Dr. Temboni completed an externship at the Long Beach VA Hospital where she gained valuable experience in diagnosing eye disease pertaining to overall systemic health. Dr. Temboni specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of general eye disease, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as diabetic eye examinations.
