Meet Dr. Oat Sinchai

Oat Sinchai
Treat Glaucoma in California

Dr. Oat Sinchai was born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana, a small town just outside of Chicago. He graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University and received his M.D. from Indiana University. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he had the privilege to care for members of the armed forces during his rotations at the National Naval Hospital, Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, and Washington DC VA Medical Center.

After finishing his residency training, Dr. Sinchai returned to his hometown of Crown Point and worked in private practice for a couple of years before deciding to undergo further specialized training in glaucoma at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. Upon completion of his glaucoma fellowship, he finally fulfilled his dream of escaping the cold harsh winters when he moved to Orange County in 2008. After working as an associate in a private practice in Orange for about 4 years, he decided to start his own practice in 2013.

Dr. Oat Sinchai is a board-certified ophthalmologist, as well as a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has also had the opportunity to volunteer in medical missions to treat the underserved in rural Thailand, as well as those less fortunate locally.

Dr. Sinchai and his wife, who is also a physician, have a teenage daughter.  He enjoys traveling, eating good food, golf, and watching his daughter play soccer.  He is also a diehard Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs fan.
