Meet Dr. Oat Sinchai
Dr. Oat Sinchai was born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana, a small town just outside of Chicago. He earned his B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University and his M.D. from Indiana University. Dr. Sinchai completed his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where he had the honor of caring for members of the Armed Forces during his rotations at the National Naval Hospital, Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, and Washington DC VA Medical Center.
After his residency, Dr. Sinchai returned to Crown Point to work in private practice. He then pursued further specialized training in glaucoma at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. In 2008, he finally fulfilled his dream of escaping the harsh winters when he moved to Orange County. After working as an associate in a private practice in Orange, Dr. Sinchai established his own practice in 2013.
Dr. Oat Sinchai is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in refractive cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has also volunteered on medical missions to treat underserved populations in rural Thailand and locally.
Dr. Sinchai and his wife, who is also a physician, have one daughter. He enjoys traveling with his family, exploring global cuisines, playing golf, and relaxing on the beach. He is also a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs.
